What are stereotypes?

" A stereotype is a simplified generalization about member of a group" ( Wikipedia)

Stereotypes are closely connected with two other concepts- discrimination and prejudice

Discrimination: "the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex"

Prejudice: " a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience"
