El muro de la paz

Con motivo del Día de la paz y con el lema We build peace / Nous contruisons la paix, hicimos un mural con los trabajos de los alumnnos que consitían en buscar fotos de la vida cotidiana y real, que reflejasen situaciones de paz, y donde pudieran escribir su reflexión personal en inglés y/o francés. 
Hubo también un espacio dedicado a citas sobre la paz de personajes famosos, poemas como "Invictus", que simboliza la lucha de Nelson Mandela, y un cómic ilustrando el mensaje de la cansión de "Imagine", de John Lennon.

• ¿Qué es la paz? ¿Qué necesitamos para que haya paz?
• Buscar fotografías de la vida actual y cotidiana que reflejen situaciones de paz( en el sentido amplio de la palabra solidaridad, justicia, educación, libertad etc.)
  

• En la foto escribe en inglés y/o francés por qué se construye paz en esa imagen, y añade una breve reflexión personal.

Peace Day: "Ordinary love" by U2

"Ordinary Love" is a song by Rock band U2. It was written to honour Nelson Mandela and it is included in the biography film "Mandela Long Walk to Freedom". It is the first song by U2" since 2010.  The song was released on 29 November 2013, less than a week before Mandela died. U2  won the 2014 Golden Globe Award for best original song, and in January 2014 was nominated for the Academy Award for best original song.

Peace Day: Imagine ...By John Lennon

On 30 January, the day devoted to  the non-violence and peace movement, first year pupils watched this original video based on the song "Imagine" by John Lennon, a universal hymn of world peace. 
The lyrics of the song are illustrated so that their meaning is easily understood

Our little homage to Nelson Mandela

Today we have lost a hero who fought for the rights of all people, and touched millions in the process. We will miss him, but we will not forget his incredible work and the legacy he left behind. You already reached the glory on Earth, the world is much better thanks to Nelson Mandela.

WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY'S INVICTUS, A POEM THAT INSPIRED A NATION

INVITUS ("Unconquered"), IS A SHORT POEM BY THE ENGLISH POET WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY ( 1849-1903). IT WAS WRITTEN IN 1875 AND FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1888.NELSON MANDELA HAD THE POEM WRITTEN ON A SCRAP OF PAPER IN HIS PRISON CELL. IT CONTAINS INSPIRING AND MOTIVATING PHRASES!!! VERY MOVING...
